To create a company that looks like Vogue, feels like Forbes, taste like Inc. and is fueled by drive, ambition and brilliance means one thing. Joy has developed a keen business sense as to how to connect the right people with the right resources to move the needle in the right places. She has spent over a decade working with multi-location entrepreneurs, investors, luxury retailers and Fortune 500 companies. Including but, not limited to NBA, WNBA, Marriott, Michael Kors, BCBG, Max Azria, Tory Burch as well as non-profits and charitable foundations on the Business Development, Corporate Sales and Relationship Management sides of the table.
Prior to THE FIRM, she was the Managing Partner at Transition Player Development (TPD), where she oversaw the goals and vision of the company and championed its brand expansion in 2015. She is the principal co-founder of Stone Hunter Solutions, a conglomerate that owned Ox Home Services, My Flood Network, Ox Cleaning and managed the business development of its sister company, Stone Integral Solutions. She has established relationships with companies such as Liberty Mutual, Nationwide, State Farm, Kate Spade and H&M to name a few.
Joy is a published writer in both the editorial and academic space. She is an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the Belk College of Business where she teaches aspiring power players. In the media chair, she has contributed to FOX, Southpark Magazine and was the Editor in Chief of Charlotte STYLE Magazine having secured the publication’s anchor advertising sponsors at its inception in 2007. Joy believes that ambition is powerful yet consistency cultivates success. She lives by the powerful mantra, written by Aristotle that states: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit.”

Aria brings to THE FIRM years of experience in luxury retail, merchandising and hospitality. Having worked in markets such as LA, South Florida, Scottsdale and Charlotte with both Fortune 500 and Fortune 40 companies. Her portfolio is as diverse as her keen ability for what makes a partnership spectacular. She has managed on the operational and merchandising sides of retail as well as the client and sales worlds for luxury retailers such as Michael Kors, Stuart Weitzman, Kate Spade and Burberry along with corporations such as Lowe’s Home Improvement and Cato Corporation and hospitality groups such as Mastro’s, Del Frisco’s and The Capital Grille. Aria has individually closed over $2 million of business in the luxury retail space.
With a pulse on what makes the client experience a transformational one, she helps to curate this same culture of winning combined with relationship building in her seat at THE FIRM.
